Gerald Rooks
1956-07-07 2011-03-17Gerald Wayne Rooks began his earthly travels on July 7, 1956, in Huntsville. God blessed the late Sippie and Lois W. Rooks with this wonderful son. He completed his journey on earth Thursday at Huntsville Hospital.
Precious memories of his journey will live forever in the hearts of his loving wife, Corlis Toney Rooks; son, Gerime Wayne Rooks; daughter, Tonya Rooks Russ and husband Elton; grandsons, Gerald Preston and Elton Bradley; brother, Sippie Rooks and wife Lynette; sisters, Anne Rooks and Carmen Walker and husband Carlos; uncle, Elder Elvin Rooks; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chelsea Cumerland Presbyterian Church in America with the Rev. Terrance Haley officiating. Interment will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Mr. Rooks will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral services with Royal Funeral Home directing.
