I grew up down the street from Mickey. He and I were pretty good friends. Mickey, Benny Pittman, Roger Gilbreath, Jackie Tipton, Craig Rice, Mike Snow, Mark Edwards, Mike Clough, and I were a pretty tight group of friends. Okay, we were a Gang...Were were the original Punks...Bleached Blonde Bangs and all...LOL I played a lot of "Garage Band" music with Tipton and Snow and I listened to a lot of music with Rice, Pittman, Edwards, Gilbreath and Clough... Craig turned me on to Alice Cooper...LOL...Remember him? Jackie Tipton turned me on to James Taylor...Mike Clough turned me on to The James Gang...All great stuff... All but Mike Clough, Mark Edwards, Mike Snow and I are gone now. I never dreamed when I was young that all my friends would pass so quickly... I remember playing football and baseball with all these guys in Pine Park when we were all young and full of life...And those after dark parties we used to have there! Can you say high as an airport cheesburger? I  miss the ones that are gone now...I'm still in touch with the rest through email...Ain't technology great? Although I left Huntsville and joined the Navy and never really made it back to stay...I will always cherish the memories of these lads and especially Mickey...and all the others that attended Madison Pike ES, Westlawn Jr. High and S.R. Butler High School...Go Rockets, Go Tigers, Go Rebels and Roll Tide Roll... Thanks for remembering Mickey "Poot Point" Stewart on this website...He was a true friend and a brother...It was a real shame what happened to him...RIP Mickey "Fat Joe"
